Ijust upgraded a system w/ a new 308ec, and partner vs mail R5. I,m still doing some programming , but get a long delay 8-10 rings when trying to enter vs mail. Not every time but often, and clues to this?

Make sure that you only have the voice mail ports in hunt group 7, Also look in program #506 day and night ring settings.
You didn't say what Partner you have ACS?

Yes if it's a 2 port VS you would count it as 6 stations and your VS ports for hunt group 7 would be the bottom two of that module.

Maybe more than 2 people are in voicemail when you are trying. The huntgroup will provide ringing untill a port is free.

gkar That may very well be the problem, I was assuming that it wasn't set up all the way yet.

Make sure that ONLY the VM ports are in Hunt Group 7. If you added a 308EC, and moved the VM card in the process, the VM extensions moved as well.
If the old VM extension ports are still in Hunt Group 7, the calls are ringing at non-VM ports, timing out after 4 rings, and hunting to the next non-VM port, ringing 4 more times, and then hunting to the REAL VM port.
