Hey all....am trying to add a xm24 expansion onto a 6416D+. Had one which i found not working. Replaced this unit with a new one, but new one did not work either. Have made a new cable from x24 to 6416, made sure the station form is check yes for expansion, and that buttons are programmed for the expansion. As far as I can tell this is the only programming needed. The unit does nothing and when i use btnview it does nothing as well as thought the unit is not there. Now I know when I have added one before all I did was check the expansion box yes and put buttons on it. Sooooo am I doing something wrong in proggramming? The odds of having two bad units(one right out of the box) would be low......any help would sure be appreciated ...thx

Try it on a different phone. The phone expansion port may be bad. If that does not work replace the 1151B1 power supply. If powered by the switch's aux try reversing the polarity. I have also seen people replacing the phones line cord without pairs 7,8 for the power.
