has he tried to reprogram each button for
voice signalling without the * so it will ring ext and then goto v/m ?

is it definitely an acs and not a partner plus
ttech above left a web site with wiring is it ok
also wag do you think the system has to go off/on to recognize dss with 18 button

About the only thing I can suggest is to unplug the In line cord from the CA48 to the adaptor at the wall and plug it back in which would reset the CA48. If that doesn't do it I would try it on another system to see if it is perhaps bad.
