I currently have an ACS rel.3.0 with a partner mailVS rel.R1 In a 5 slot carrier, the system also has (2) 206 rel.3.1. Intermittently, I get phantom ringing on certain phones, and the the phantom ring goes into v-mail and leaves a message with just static. I can stand there and watch the phone lines flash red but there is no incoming call , then the call goes to VM. I corrected this problem once before by changing the processor. The problem went away for a year and a half. Now it is back. I replaced the processor again but to no avail. ANy suggestions? Thank you in advance.......

I am not sure what you have checked. But I have seen this type of situation when the CO lines have been mixed (ie. ring of line one double punched on the tip of line two).
This is at least a place to start if you have not already checked for this type of error.
good luck

Start with basic troubleshooting. Check the lines one at time for loop current and ring voltage. How often does this occur?

Also check to see if perhaps the security may be causing it if they have it set up to use the lines.
