I am an end user/administrator(not by choice) of our Intuity Audix phone system from Avaya.

With that said: Is there a way for one of our users to answer a call and then place that call into someone voicemail without having to send it to there extension and let it ring 3 times?

All depends on what type and version of phone system the Intuity is connected to. Need more info

sure. There are probably multiple ways to do this. Here is one. In the PBX Create an virtual extension or x port extension, lets call it extension 1111. Set the coverage path for 1 ring and to your VM hunt group.

Set up an audix extension 1111 like this.

display subscriber 1111 Page 1 of 3

Now if you want a call to some ones mailbox, do a transfer 1111. you will get the greeting "please enter an extension" dial that extension. Then hit transfer.

Hope that helps...
