Hi!
Does anyone know what the pinout is for the CA-48 adapter? What the model/comcode for the adapter is? or does anyone know how to make one? (I am talking about the 2 port adapter that injects power into the line cord to power the CA-48) I have one a customer was using and someone "really needed" to use the adapter. I have no clue where to find one either!!
Thanks!!

I think. That adapter moves power (48 V DC) from pins 3/6 to pins 7/8 on the RJ45. I usually use this when I need to add inline power to an avaya product. https://www.metrolinedirect.com/metroline/11posu1.html

Thanks! I can try that as a last resort... I have the 48v dc power supply that came with the unit, I just don't know how to wire it so that the unit gets power??

I talked to someone at Avaya, and they stated that I needed a '304B' adapter (comcode 407428150)
Anyone know what the pinout for this is??

The book shows the power going to the adapter . The adapter has a male end going into partner jack and 2 female jacks that look like a line 1/2 splitter . power goes into one side and cord to in side of dialer on the other. Then out of dialer to set.
I can send you this page if you email me your fax number
I think i hve the adapters in my truck if you want one.

The adapter takes the 4 conductors for the phone from the plug portion (2-3-4-5 on a 6 conductor plug) to 3-4-5-6 of the 8-pin jack that goes to the DSS.
Then it takes the power from the transformer in on 1 and 8 of the other jack to 8 and 1 (note the polarity) of the DSS jack.
In the past, where there was no room behind the desk for the adapter, I have taken a 2-port faceplate, using Cat-5 jacks. Wire the phone I/W to the Blue and Green pairs (568-B) as normal, then run a single conductor from the White/Orange of the jack to the Brown/White of the other, and vice/versa.
Plug the transformer cable into the "extra" jack and the phone into the main one, and voila.
