I have an older Partner system that consists of the following components:
Partner II Processor R4.0.1 Partner 206 Module R2.0 Partner Mail VS R1 Partner Euros Style phones with display
I upgraded to the R4.0.1 processor thinking that's all I needed to do to enable Caller ID, but it's not working. What do I need to upgrade for the caller id to work?
Thanks for any help!

HI You need to change the partner II processor to an acs 3x8 and you will have cid on the 3x8 not the 206 co lines
Or swap the 206 to a 206EC
The 206ec is probably cheaper.

So, I can replace the 206 modules with a 206EC and it should work? That would definitely be the cheapest way to go.
Are there advantages to going with the ACS module? If I did that, I'd still have to replace the 206 modules, right?
Thanks for your help!

Yes you can replace the 206 with an ec for your caller id. the original 206 2 co lines will not provide cid
the acs is 3x8 with caller id which is more then you have now.
Expansion cards as 308 ec mods expand you with caller id, in 3x8 increments allowing you 12 lines 32 stations and your mail in the box you have now.
That vs mail you have is a real old dog and may become and issue in the near future.
