I have a problem with my Lucent Intuity Audix system. When messages are left in one specific voice mail box at night the messages will be gone in the AM. During the day this problem does not exist. This problem is only happening with one specific voice mail box. The messages are definately going to the proper extention. Once being transfered to the Audix system you will hear the greeting that identifies the extention. Any suggestion?

I have a Definity Audix so there may be a differenct Intuity issue... This is my idea.
Under each system there is a retention time set up to save voice messages. Mine is 10 days. On the 11th day at the 1am backup, my system will delete all messages 10 days old.
Not sure where it is but probably in your Audix systemwide parameters. Check to see that the retention is not set to 1 day. If it is, it will delete them at the backup time.
Hope that helps. Rhonda

Also, under each subscriber, look at the retention space and time. You can change the retention days of new, unopened and old messages there. I have traveling users who will be gone longer then 10 days so I adjust the retention here so they don't loose messages while they are out. Just hit my brain.

I would delete the mailbox and reassign it. Sometimes the hard drive the mail box info is on is corrupted. I have this problem with a PC based audix and either reassigning it or rebooting the system usually clears it.

Thank you sooooo much. You were right on the money. The retention time was set a zero.
