We have a partner ACS R6 running in our building. All's fine with the system. However, once in a while, our evil cleaning lady likes to make long distance calls to her husband (who is a truck driver , and is all over the US). When she's not making calls, she's receiving collect calls from him. Long story short, we end up receiving bills for her calls and she doesn't pay them. Is there any way we can lock up the system when we are not in the building? Most of the phones have a long distance restriction and outbound dialing restriction. However, she usually uses the operator phone to make and receive calls. Currently, I use station lock and DND (lol) to prevent her from calling and hearing calls coming in. We do not have a voicemail system, nor do we intend on getting one. But is there any way to lock down the whole system? Thanks again!

Well, a simple solution would be to power the system down at night but most people here would probably disagree with me on this. Doing this would be heavily-dependent on your system's memory retention battery.

Station lock at the operator phone is still not enough to stop her? Is she calling one number, a cell phone that you could put in a disallowed list? Another option is to do a forced account code for the phones, but that option is a pain to all users.

You could put LD restrictions on all phones and assign a system password then you would have to enter the password before you could make a LD call on the phones you restrict.

Unplug the phones and lock them in the desks. Perhaps she will get the hint. But I think firing her is the best.

Thanks for the very quick replies. I thought about powering down the system, but the battery issue came to mind and I decided not to risk it. I wish I could fire her.... but the powers above me like her (I dunno why) despite the fact that she has proven to be dishonest several times (and not just with the phone bill (like copying keys without permission!!?). But, unfortuantely, I've been told its either her or no cleaning lady at all. With regard to the forced account code setting, does that have to be system-wide, or can it be done to selected phones? Also, TS, thanks for suggesting a disallowed number list, I'll definately put all the numbers she calls in there!

Once again, I greatly appreciate your rapid and quite helpful responses!

I want to know how she gets around station lock. We have had customers with the same problem and that always works.
