Problem: x10 cannot use the phone lines or intercom.

Pressing SPEAKER or picking up the handset on x10 will light one of the line buttons, but will not sound a dial tone. Pressing INTERCOM results in the same - a lit button but no tone. Volume is set about mid-range.

Incoming and intercom calls ring just fine at x10, and it does display the date and time, but there is silence after picking it up.

Programming details (which are likely the problem):

I have 3 incoming lines, all in Pool 880.
Each line assigned to Hunt Group 1 in Group Call Distribution #206
x12, x14, and x15 assigned to Hunt Group 1
All extensions assigned to Pickup Group 1.
All extensions, except x10 of course, use pooled access to all 3 phone lines.

Ext 11, not in Hunt Group 1, but programmed for pooled access to phone lines, works fine.

It could be my wiring, but I'm hoping one of you guys might see an obvious programming mistake before I dig into that.

take the set back to the unit and plug it right into port 10 and see if it works.

Bang! Bang! Bang!
(the sound of me banging my head on the wall)

I love it when it's that simple, but I sure hate it when it's that simple. Plugging it directly into the unit works fine.

Thank you Russ, I'm off to play with wiring.

Your white/blue pair is open somewhere between the system and the phone.
