I am attempting to connect our Definity system to a PC to log the SMDR and try out Tapit before deciding whether to buy it or eCas.
My understanding is that I need an adapter to go from the Definity to my PC, but WHERE on the Definity do I hook the port up to? What is it labeled? Is it a DB25 or DB9 port?
I hate feeling so stupid! Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

IMHO, Ecas is better.
Need more info. What software version? Clan card? What media gateway are you using?

In the Definity, enter change sys cdr. You have to tell the system where to output. If EIA, then there is a 25 pin connector on the back of the system. If you want to locate the CAS farther away, you will have to define and attach a data module on a digital port, then tell the system to output the cdr to the data module. EIA is the easier obviously.
