Does any one know what avaya plans to do with the ethernet port on the newer acs systems?

No. I suspect that it will be used for remote administration like the Partner Messaging.

I've been told that it will be for Network access to the system along with a new software for windows programming, like alot of systems you will be able to admin it from any PC on that network or come in on an assigned ip address for remote. But we will have to wait and see for sure but really can't se it being for anything else
