I decided to edit this to just say that you are in way over your head. If you are truly a friend to this person, refer them to a competent telephone professional.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who responded to my topic. Knowing that this forum is read by some of the best in the industry, I really appreciate and respect your answers and comments.
I have always been the guy who wants to know how things work, as I'm sure most of you are. When I first was approached about helping out with this phone system, I was eager to help. Not because I wanted to save money, not because I wanted to cut out the local phone technician, but because I wanted to learn. So, I scoured the manual for a few days and thought that I had a basic grasp on how the system works and it's setup.
I ordered the system a couple days ago and it arrived yesterday. The setup of extensions and voicemail was very straightforward I thought. The system has been functional for about 12 hours now.
Now, I am not claiming success yet since this system has not been up for an extended amount of time with an extensive load of traffic, but so far I have been more than happy with the results.
Thanks again to the forum! I hope that you all have a great weekend.
