I have a client that has upgraded a Legend to a Magix and is still using the old carriers and some old Legend cards, including their 6 port Merlin Messaging voicemail ver 1.0. They have two DS1 cards with a block of 100 DID's. I have one specific DID setup to ring to one phone that has Remote call forwarding and Trunk to Trunk transfer enabled for forwarding to an outside answering service when needed. I have also setup a calling group and primary coverage to a few phones to answer this DID during the day. I am trying to get this one DID to ring to it's own seperate Auto Attendant (I am using 4 for this one) after four or five rings. I setup a seperate coverage group and have assigned a phantom extension to Auto Attendant 4 but I am unable to get this all to work correctly. I am sure I am just missing something simple. Anyone done this before that may be able to help? Sometimes it takes another viewpoint or outlook to find the missing piece.

Could you do it by making an adjunct be the DID target, covering it to voice mail and making the mailbox AA4. Then put a Primary Coverage button on the sets that need to answer before the AA kicks in. And finally, assign an auth code, trunk to trunk, and remote call forward to the adjunct, so you can forward it from a set when you need it to go off site?
Or you could still have the DID land on the physical phone, but use Primary Coverage or Shared System Access to answer it from other extensions, still cover it to VM/AA-4, and be able to go to the actual extension to forward it.
