I had an old Merlin 820 sitting in my basement. I recently installed it in my church as a temporary fix until our renovations are complete and new equipment is installed.
My questions to the experts is: is there a battery in this until that was used to retain programming in case of power failure. Right now, everytime the power flickers they loose all programming, of course there is not much, but they loose the auto-dial intercom buttons.
I am going to look at the system tonight, when I regprogram it, just thought you guys might be able to point me in the right direction, would it be in the main unit or on the feature card?
Thanks, Jim.
If all all fails I will just put a small Battery Backup unit on it.

With old merlin 820 the battery solders into the feature package.
Since this temporary I would use a small battery back up.
I will pm a source for battery if you want to mess with it.
