I have a Merlin Legend system with a R7 V11 processor that is a CKE3. I want to put in the 016 MLX cards for more capacity. I today purchased a newer R7 processor, which I have now been told is a CKE5.

My question: Will the following work for me?

Save programming in the system to the flash card.
Power down the system.
Remove the flash card.
Remove the CKE3 processor.
Install the CKE5 processor.
Install the flash card in the CKE5 processor.
Power up the system.
Restore the programming.

Is going from CKE3 to CKE5 going to be an issue?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

CKE3 to CKE5 should not be an issue. As long as they are both Release 7's, you've got the plan down pat.
