Does anyone know if Avaya makes a product similar to the NT Digital Option Manager for the ACS? If not, Does anyone know how to activate a contact closure on the ACS if a line is in use? What is messing me up is that the extension ports are digital, so even making an extension exclusive to a particular CO line does no good in activating a contact closure if the line is being used. A link for the NT Digital Option Manager from sandman is: https://www.sandman.com/pdf/Page109.pdf

No they don't and the extension ports are not digital. What is it you are trying to accomplish?
If all you want is a contact closure when a CO line going into the Partner system is in use, there are what used to be called "A" lead controls that were used with the old 1A2 systems. I believe Ed has a few that he would be willing to part with.

Thanks Hal. Actually this person has already picked some of the adapters up from me but it seems like they are trying to do a little more than I thought. I am waiting for a retired friend of mine to get back to me on further assistance.
We have it working on the 1A2 correctly, and we are alomst there on the Partner. It is an issue with placing calls on hold that's causing trouble; something I never anticipated would be encountered.
It is a matter of illuminating lights on BOTH systems when shared lines are in use; it's easy with the 1A2 but going the other way, it's not as graceful.

Ah, this is the same person we talked about before? I was wondering but I didn't think so because he only has 2 posts to his name.
So I assume now he wants to illuminate the line appearance on the Partner when an extension on the 1A2 picks up the line or puts it on hold.
I think it's time to say "good night Gracie". :bang:

Yes, Hal. We have been communicating via PM and phone since then. Currently, the 1A2 is using Partner extensions, set as prime for outgoing, as CO lines. The Partner CO's go through the Melco units to light the lamp on the 1A2, but since he is grabbing dial tone on the Partner's CO lines, it creates a doubling of the A lead, resulting in the inability to put calls on hold at the 1A2.

Hey- you summed up my wish list pretty good, lol. I realize the 1A2 is old, with no modern features, but its become a conversation piece in the house, especially the old bell ringers, and the big light buttons.
Any help is much appreciated.
