Hello everyone-

Can anyone tell me how to change the main answer attendant on our office phone? I cannot locate a manual and calling Avaya / Lucent helpline has been a disaster? Thanks!

What mail are we talking about? And what do you mean by change the main answer attendant, do you want to have it go to a different station when 0 is pressed, if so only VS5 and above and the Messaging units support 0 time out programming.

Russ (& others)- What I mean is the greeting a caller gets when 1) we are closed or 2) all of the lines are in use. It says "thank you for calling, for Lee press extension 18, for John ..., etc." We have had changes in staff and need to update the message with correct names and extensions.

Do you know what messaging system you have? Depending, the admin mailbox is 99# or 0#. You will have to know the password after that like any other mailbox. Do you know what it is?

As Hal mentioned we need to know what mail we are talking about. With a little more info we can point you in the right direction. Denpeding on the unit it can have from 1-4 Auto Att. and even dial by name. We need to know what mail it is.
