Hey all. I was curious if anyone has run into the DND feature not working properly on and ACS R7.

I recently installed an R7 with a partner mail VS 5.0 VM. Everything was going good until yesterday, when someone went to put on their DND.

Everytime someone want to transfer to that persons ext. through the AA, it puts the caller into a loop. It keeps saying "transferring call". I suspect the DND, becasue when I take off the DND all transfers work properly. I get to the persons ext. ok, plus VM picks up ok.

What patch can I get to fix this issue?

Thanks,

Doubled

A patch needs to be applied to the VS-5, but it needs to be done via flash card put into an R6 processor.

Contact a Business Partner, or if you are one, contact your distributor's tech support.

Tommy, I know you said R6, but I have an R7 processor. Will the same patch work?

You will need to use an R6 processor to apply the patch to the Partner Mail VS.

Once that is done, the Partner Mail VS will work properly with the R7 processor.

Sorry to be a little dumb here, but what does the patch do? Also, why does the patch have to applied to an R6 and not directly to the R7?

Before applying the patch am I going to have to re-program the VM ports?

Sorry haven't heard of this problem, so I am curious.

Thanks

Put the VS mail in a carrier with an R6 processor, program it up so that you can access the VM. Power down, put the PC card with the patch in the R6 Processor, power up, and the patch is installed to the VS mail. Put the VS mail back into the carrier with the R7, and voilá

Now we're not talking about the R7 91-I patch, this one is specifically for the VS mail.

Tommy, how much would it cost to send me a copy of the patch?
