Somehow I have lost the dialtone on my extension. Ihave checked in extension administration and it says my extension has a phone and my mail box is initialized. Mlx 20L system When receiver is down I have a light, pick it up no light or dialtone. I can receive a call and get voicemail, can't dial out. Tried other phones same problem. Help!

Have you tried to busy out, then restore extension?

What lite? Intercom or lines? Do you have Icm. dial tone?
If yes you've lost trunk asignment on extensions or Pool asignment.

The red lite on my dedicated out line lights up with receiver down, goes out when I pick it up and no dialtone. yes I have intercom dialtone.
I reassigned my ext. to all lines but did not do the pool reassignment.

Press Feature 00, then your "dedicated out line", and tell us what the display says. Perhaps that's a single private line, and it is dead coming from the phone company?

In my understanding this is a Legend(20L) phone.
You can press Inspect button and test all your asignments.

Tommy is right there, bro. The red light indicates which line or System button that will be selected when you go off-hook. The light sounds like it is behaving as expected.

The fact that you don't have outside dialtone indicates that (drumroll) you don't have outside dialtone.

As suggested, this means either an incorrect line assignment for the extension, or that the correct line is assigned but happens to be dead.

I checked all our lines and none are dead all have dialtones. I have deleted my extension number from group cover and deleted it in extension admin. Restarted the system and then activated it again and put back in group cover. Still no dialtone. I am at a loss!!!!!!!!
