I know these channelbanks will allow you to do it. I will check on another option when a co-worker gets in later today.

You might check eBay to see if you can pick up a Vina MX (Multiservice eXchange 500) with a DSP card and secondary T1 card, or a Vina T1 Integrator with an FT1-DSP card. I know the T1 Integrator is also OEM'd by Lucent as the ConnectReach, although I can't recall their model number.

VINA was also been acquired by Larscom, who was in turn acquired by Verilink.

If the CO is sending you AMI/D4 from their switch there is no way to convert it to ESF/B8ZS, except at the LEC switch, unless something drastic has changed that I'm not aware of. As far as the T1 being to old to change, that's a bunch of BS, line coding and framing can be changed, unless they have such an old switch it can't put out ESF. If it's just your switch to your switch, the CO isn't doing anything with line coding anyway.

i think you will find that either paradyne 3160 or 3164 csu can make that conversion either direction on site. there may be others.

I found it so helpful that I saved it for reference. Good job! :thumb:

Give me your name and who you work for so next time I can give you credit.
