my main number is not hunting all of the sudden. I have moved some of the lines around in my switch. Does it matter how they are positioned in my switch other then the main line being 801? The telco company gives me an order in which they hunt I'm stuck here waiting on bellsouth and was trying to see if it's something on my end

Incoming hunting comes from provider only. No such PBX that can do incoming hunt. Only outgoing. If you busy out line 1 and make a call you supposed to come on another line if the line is good and assign into the Trunk on the system. If you have busy then you hunt is broken. If you have ring with no answer then you have dead line or line is not assigned .

ok.. If i pick up line 1 and try to call in, it's busy. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything on my end. I guess I have to wait on Bellsouth to trouble shoot the hunt.

Thanks

Yes. It is not your fault. Even you take all lines out of system main line should ring as many times as number of line in the Hunt group

Vad60,
Just to be clear. The order that bellsouth gives me in which my lines hunt in does not have to be the same order I place them in my switch?

No. Up to you. The only thing that instead of let say lin2 #2 second call would come on line #6 according to BellSouth's numbers order. Then later on you can put them in propper order.
