I am using a Partner Mail VS 3.0 system, with 8 phone lines coming into our office. I would like to have my phone not ring everytime any line is being called.

For example: our phone numbers are 555-1212, 555-1213, 555-1214, etc...

My number is 555-1212 - when 1213 is being called it rings in my office everytime. It does go to the right extension and AA if not answered, but I would like it to not ring in my office unless someone is calling my number. EWverything is working properly, this is more of an annoyance than anything...

Any Help is Appreciated, Thanks....

On ext10 or 11 Press Feature, dial 00, press Left Intercom button twice, Right Intercom once, dial your ext. number and make all green lights start blinking fast by pressing each and every line button twice. Has to be 18 button Display telephone. Pay attention to display it will shows status of each line: Immidiate Ring, Delay Ring and No Ring. Feature, 00 to get out of Programming.

1 thing vad60 forgot. Leave your line alone! And depending on the vintage and rev level of your processor, you may have to program from ext 10 only. You'll find out when you try to push left intercom button twice. If you get a long beep, just push 'Feature 00' and go find extesion 10. And you can program from a 34D phone as well as an 18D phone. It's just usually easier to use an 18D because most Partner phones are 18D and button programming can get confusing when programming from a 34D. smile John C.
