I'm having a problem with a few phones on a site. When they attapmt to dial out, they are getting "Call Denied". I checked to see if they were restrited or require FACE but they do not. I ran a print on them and I found under: ESS Restrictions: ESS-2 - Restrictions. Where do I have to go to change this or can I just do a Restriction Copy for another set. Thanks.

ESS 2 restriction has nothing to do with outcalling. Ther are few places to look for.
1. ARS restriction level for that exten.
2. Disallow list assignment.
3. Pool/Lines access.

You can do a copy.

ESS restrictions indeed play a part, but only in a Hospitality scenario. And if "FACE" means Forced Account Code Entry, then you've done your homework.

However, you may also want to check both ARS restrictions and station restrictions. Station restrictions (Extensions > Restriction) are grossly defined as "Unrestricted", "Outward Restricted" or "Toll Restricted". However, even unrestricted phones are further subject to the ARS restriction (Extensions > More > ARS Restrct").

And even if you've loosened both restrictions, the station could still be controlled by a Disallow List (Tables > DisallowTo).

Under "OPTIONS" check "Ext Status", and if it is set for "HOTEL", then ES2 will keep the extension from dialing out.

There are 7 or more ways that an extension can be prevented from dialing out.
