Hal,
Cordless phones won't work given the area to be covered. We are installing a 4.9 GHz wireless lan with multiple access points for each facility.

I don't know enough about the Partner system. If I interface to it as an analog phone, how can I pick up any other extension when I don't know which line is active?

I also forgot to mention that the current system has to continue working as it is with the wireless system in parallel.

That would be a job for whoever writes the software. It will be necessary for them to become knowledgeable about the Partner system and be able to analize how it interfaces with a VM system. I suspect this could operate the same way.

I see no problem with this working together with a receptionists extension.

Since you need to keep the existing multiline phone working, and use the voip "phone" when the operator is away from the station, test using a single line phone plugged into the Aux port on the bottom of the phone. If the single line phone is still able to receive the calls from the doors, and can flash and dial 9 to bring in the outside dial tone to call a supervisor, flashing again to conference the calls, you could just use the Aux port as the "dial-tone" to the voip system.
