I am looking at acquiring some Avaya Lucent 4612 IP Phone units used that were pulled from a working system. The seller has no password information , and I have little information on these units. Is there a master factory reset?

Are these units SIP protocol or what? What Firewall technology is integrated; STUN, Outbound Proxy, NAT keep alive, SIP Ping?

Any help appreciated.

Mark

The 4612 phones only support H.323 protocol.

There is full documentation on support.avaya.com for more details.

Thanks, but as I said the available documentation is very slim, and does not say whether the reset defined in the document actually resets the passwords.

h.323 is no problem either.

The reset does just that... resets the phone to defaults.

there are no passwords on the phone, so I'm not certain what you are trying to do ?

You need to build an TFTP server. When the phones boot they will pull files from the server and work just like you want them to.

You may have to "CLEAR" the programming... It is the same procedure as RESET...
