I have an Avaya IP Office 406 and I bought a message player from a company. It is installed but only beeps play on hold now, is there some programming needed to activate the on hold or will a reboot on the phone system do it?

Under system tab there is a tick box for "use external MOH" That will need to be checked. That will also cause you to reboot the system.
