Ah come on guys be nice, we all started somewhere. If someone didn't give you a break and give you your first job you'd still be flipping burgers at McD's

Sorry telemarv, they would not be flipping burgers in California, those jobs are reserved exclusively for illegal aliens and if they even applied for a job there, the employees would file charges of racism against them for trying to steal a job that belonged to one of their relatives.

LA even has Special Order 40 that says if a cop recognizes someone who has been deported for committing a crime they are not to question them because that would be racism, I am not kidding.

The phone guys could start up a cash business, pay no taxes, have no liability insurance, hang illegal signs on telephone poles and pay employees under the table because that is normal if you were born in California. It isn't so much fun to compete with them and the guys who work out of the trunk of their car with no overhead make more than I do keeping an office open, paying insurance, paying taxes, paying utilities, etc.

So I would like to retire and sell this to the young guy who wants to know how to do something, any objections?

Well, when the next earthquake hits and California falls into the ocean, the situation will correct itself but you may find the Rio Grand on the Canadian border.

I wear my life preserver 24 hours a day and have a North Face parka in a waterproof pack tied to my waist. I'm ready to become an illegal alien in that big far country up there see, soon at the earth rocks.

You are really nice up there and I'm going to enjoy the free health care. Just make sure you don't pick up clubs and go on an illegal alien hunt, we have rights you know.

You'd fit right in. We don't hunt illegals here. Our border guards will just pat you on your head usher you on through. Hell you could even vote.

You can have our free health care if you don't mind waiting 9-12 month to begin cancer treatment, meanwhile there's a grapefruit sized tumor growing in your belly. Or up to 2 years to get a hip joint replaced. Free is not always better.

But be sure and keep a warm condo in arizona cause it's f____ cold up here.

Cold? Cold you say? I lived in Ft. Kent, Me, just a quick walk on the frozen St. John River to Clair, NB.

The first year I was there it was at least 15 degrees F BELOW zero every day for three weeks in January/February. And my frickin Volvo that was made for the Artic Circle had to have a heat stick and warm up for 15 minutes because the carburators froze up because they don't use PCV valves over there.

Cold, I KNOW COLD. Maybe I'll just stay here and be happy.

Yeah, Maine, where any day that is -40 F is considered a nice day and people take their vacations in January to snowmobile down to Minnesota to ice fish where it is "warm".

God love 'em, the Indians won't even take it back, they just least it out for casinos!

OOOps, sorry about that remark. I spent a year up there one weekend, haven't been warm since.

All kidding aside, I got there in May (Bangor), left in October. It was snowing when I got there and snowing when I left. Summer was one day in July when it got up to almost 70 F. Then came moose season.

Drink a cup at Govenors for me.

KLD. wink

I lived there when they finally stopped the log runs in the St. John River.

The next year, the black flies that had been kept in check by the lack of oxygen in the river multiplied hundreds of times. No canoes, no fishing, no picnics, just stay inside away from the black flies.

Sometimes the tree huggers are all screwed up and don't have the common sense of a goat. The fish did fine, you just couldn't beat the black flies and the fish were all safe in the river by themselves. How wonderful for the fish, bless their little fins.
