I know this discussion has been delt with before....I've been dealing with Embarq For 2 weeks Now with this D-Channel being Locked Out and Finally..They have fixed the Problem..I am going to turn-up this PRI on Wed. What is the Correct Protocal for the DMS-100 ?? They don't seem to have a 5ESS or know what ATT Custom is..
NTNAPRI and U-459 are the Protocals they are Suggesting ...HELP ???

Custom means "AT&T Custom", not NI-1. For DMS-100/250, have the tech set the LT_DEF variable to U-459 (a Line Type Definition of U-459 is AT&T custom). I don't know why this is so misunderstood by Class 5 switch admins.

Do not use 5ESS emulation. Steer clear of NTNAPRI unless you own a Nortel brand PBX.

Inbound is no big deal. The most important Outbound
calls. More complicated.

OK..
Turn-up went very well..Caller I.D. was an issue with the Carrier,but we sorted it out..U-459 worked... Thank You for all your help..
