Does anyone out there have any experience with the Quick Edition. Problems? Success Stories? We are considering offering this to our very small clients.....10 or less phones. Any feedback would be appreciated.

My feeling is that it is really a DIY system. It's also all IP and that's not something that most of us see any reason for particularly in a small business environment with a limited or no network.
The Partner has been and still is the Avaya mainstay for installations of that size.

We have quite a few installs of QE. I dont mind the system, now. BUT, Avaya touts it as a customer installable system. YEAH RIGHT....tell the customer when they get it, they need to upgrade it.
That said, I hear that Avaya will announce EOL on the QE. they will replace it with a new version of IPO.

I'm not a fan of the QE. Due to size, expensive and features. Doesn't take that much more to put in a IPO and much less to put in a ACS.

Yes, they are going to kill it and make a new version of the IP small office to take its place.

Avaya Quick Edition has been announced as End of Sale as of 12/31/08.
Quick Edition was not a bad system. It had some nice functionality. However, when compared to PARTNER ACS, it still had a long way to go to be "up to par" (at least in my "humble" opinion).
PARTNER ACS is still the premier SMB system in this space; and will continue to be so for a long while to come.

Ron....If you have any pull with the IP Office guys...GET THEM TO ADD THE PARTNER PHONES.... Give us an upgrade path!!!!
Now back on topic....
I didn't mind the One-X. I did mind the way Avaya marketed it as a system that could be up in 90 seconds functioning.....Cant a Partner???
I did like the strides that were taken, realising that it was failing in the feature department, to get it better on the newer releases. But you are correct, trying to bid a Partner and a One-X to the same customer was almost laughable....price/feature wise...
