We're just starting to get into this so my information will be vague to say the least. I don't know what version of software is on the switch other than it will support VOIP. Modems are essential to our support dept for systems communication and FAX capability speaks for itself. Wish I could give you more information.

Most likely you'll be fine, but the devil is in the details...

What do you have to do to be able use a modem other than just maintaining analog lines?

9.5 could do some things IP, but not well. What exactly are you trying do now? If you just adding modems to the G3 then x connect to an analog board, program, and your done.

First off,thanks for help.
Our desktop systems are using usrobotics v90 modems to connect and do remote support work using procomm. Also, if you don't mind, should we be able to use the MS Unified Communications stuff with our system using clan and mediapro card.

np. I don't see how IP comes into the mix. If your using modems local to the PBX on an analog card there is nothing IP there.

You are correct. Right now we are using analog lines for our modems to dial out on. What I'm trying to determine, is being able to use a modem over voip. I think it might also be referred to as moip.
On a completely different issue. Did you happen to see the question I had about being able to use Microsoft Unified Communication server with our legacy system?

I'm still not 100% positive what your trying to do and why. Do you have an IP trunk between 2 locations and are tring to send the modem over it? If that's the case it might work. R9.5 is really old. Your better off upgrading. Then it will work without problems.

In reference to using MUC. I have no idea. I would never purchase anything from Microsoft. I hate the fact that my laptop runs windows. smile
