I am really surprised those systems still out there and working. I personaly stopped using 206 at least a year ago. Good for Avaya.
Skimore did mislead in his post. I was under assumption that he was using 2 slot or 5 slot carrier. As far as VM I thought it was VS3
Guess we do need more information.
Thank you Mdaniel and HBiss for pointing this out.
Skimore is new to Avaya. Lets put him in the right direction.

The original post says "Partner voice messaging R3 card". That would indicate the PCMCIA.

It appears that the poster is confusing the procedure for administering the larger Avaya Partner Messaging or Partner Mail VS with the smaller Partner Voice Messaging.

hbiss that was my point.
ACS R3 is about 10 years old and still going.
I upgrade everyone to at least R6. 206 are cheap but constantly caused knocking sounds after a while on the phones when in use. So I stopped replacing them.
Mdaniel I agree with you assumption is a mother of all screw ups. (Nicely said)
Bottom Line is Skimore probably figured everything out already, and we are still discussing what he means on Friday night.
How does everyone go to a vacations here? I cant even imagine doing that.
Anyway...Have a nice weekend everyone.

So what are you saying? If you do a software upgrade you don't do anything for the age problem. If you can get your customers to spend money on that or to instead replace a working processor because you say it's old, you are a better salesman than I.

The 206E mod was discontinued many years ago and is only available used or refurb. I have never had one cause "knocking" sounds, but chances are good they will cause others.

Yes it is the PCMCIA card. I will try ext's 78 and 79. The card came with no manual

Thanks
