I've got a legend with a PRI and about 100 ext. the problem we're having is the reception desk is getting more and more calls that ring once then disconnect. The incomming calls are answered by an AA and transfer to ext 100. My first thought was to take the AA out of the loop. So now the calls come directly to the operator and it is still happening. The operator is NOT a QCC. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't worry to much about those calls. Do they have 800 number? Sometimes callers make a mistake and drops calls as soon as they realized that the number they dial is the wrong one (446 vs 466). happens to me all the time. The most important they don't drop conversation on regular basis.

Here's a thought....
What would happen if you set the Operator's SA buttons to DELAYED RING?
Again, that's just a thought.
There may be other ways of preventing this as well.

The delayed ring sounds like the answer. I don't think it's a real call. it only rings a half ring, and no callers that get through complain about not getting connected. But it would be nice to know what is causing it.

As far as to how/why it's happening, I would guess that the Callers are reaching the AA and then hanging up.
In theory, the PRI should be able to detect the FORWARD DISCONNECT and not allow the call to go through.
In reality, some CENTRAL OFFICES don't do a very good job of FORWARD DISCONNECT, thus the call comes through.
I am curious about 1 thing though, is this MONTROSE you are from in COLORADO?
Because, I know of only one location there that has that many extensions and a PRI.

yes it is Montrose Colorado, where do you think it is??? I thought it was what you said, people hanging up, but I redirected the T1 to the console and the same thing was happening. I think the phone system is generating something. I'm going to reset the system and see if it goes away.
