I need to know if I can take the 4 port pc card out of a Merlin messaging mail r2.0 and use the restore option to a Merlin messaging r3.0? Or do i have to reprogram from scatch? Thanks.

Never say never, but I'm pretty sure you're going to need to program from scratch.

The restore (if it works) will create the mailboxes, without any of the recordings, and the Auto Attendant/Submenus with their recordings.

So, it might be just as good to start over anyway.

What release of MAGIX do you have?

A later release can do the VM Programming for you, well, at least most of it.
