I've got a small business with 4 lines that wants to switch from their POTS lines to Comcast Digital Voice. They have a Magix R3, do you think there can be any issues? Does anyone have any specifics on the Comcast service? I'm assuming it will be very similar to Vonage?
I've tried researching the comcast service, but have no experience with it and was not able to find anything really useful.
Thank you for any input!

Make sure that Comcast understands "Forward Disconnect" or "Open Loop Disconnect" or "Loop Start Disconnect" or "Cutoff on Disconnect" or whatever they call the feature that drops loop current when the other end disconnects.
Also make sure that they understand hunting.
Those have been the biggest headaches we've encountered with Charter Cable telephone.

I have 1 Comcast Digital Line on my Magix R4.0, and it works fine for voice.
I never tried it for Fax.
However, if you try to admin this with WINSPM Dial up, you will have problems, as in "IT WON'T WORK VERY WELL IF AT ALL".
RULE NUMBER 2, "THINKIN' WON'T GET IT, YOU GOTTA KNOW!" RULE NUMBER 3, if you need TIER-3 SUPPORT on a LEGEND or MAGIX, go to http://home.comcast.net/~merlinman -
