I've got a company with 6 offices that will be tied togather with point to point T1's then connected to the world with 2 seperate T1/PRI's. is the avaya system a good choice or full of land mines? 2 offices have 30 phones the others 10 - 15.

IPO will be a great fit for your application.
I do recommend hooking up with a authorized Avaya Business Partner and ask them for references of other IPO customers they have with close to your same set up.

MDaniel is correct. I have a few 8-10 location sites out there, it is a solid platform, and the benefit of staying digital and reusing the existing cabling infrastructure, prices it nicely.

I would also look at those point to points. That seems pretty clunky to have point to points everywhere...are you sure it isn't an MPLS Circuit??

Can't use a MPLS Ciruit because it crosses lecs, and I don't think the one LEC offers it. I talked to one tech and he said that all the T1s have to point back to a single hub, like a star. I that right? Seems as long as you can give it an address it wouldn't matter.

Yes, that is correct. Just make sure the site you read the SCN docs. There is a limit as to how many hops user info can take, BLF updates across different subnets, little stuff like that...

I think we're going with the star set up, if we do the chain the first link will be taken up with voice and no room for data. I do want to inject 2 PRI's with DID info at two different points, any problems?

See this, WIll be clearer.

This is if you are using SCN features, you could do a true star if you dont use scn features and make short codes going to each system.

Digital Telephones are old school. If you are going to invest in new technology I recommend IP sets.
