i installed one the other day , no issues and I wouldn't have known it was 8 if I hadn't checked the ver. number
what in particular are you wondering about ?

I really haven't seen any problems posted about the R8 processor at any of the tech help sites I participate in.

We have several out there up and running.
No problems at all so far.
I really like the CID to single line sets and the ability to take a translation from a R.6 and push it to a R.8.
