Has anyone install the Avaya Cordless 3920 and if so how well do they work and what is the range and how well do the repeaters work?

Just the other day. Range is what you would expect from the usual cordless phone. No where near what the old Transtalks were capable of. Haven't tried the repeaters yet.
My only gripe is the tiney little line buttons and the desi for those 8 buttons which is the same size as the phone number or extension number desi strip on some old phones. I had to design a desi in Illustrator because you'll never be able to do anything that small otherwise.
Oh, and no documentation with them. Guess they didn't print them up yet.

It looks like the phone is made by Uniden (see page 59/60 of the User's Guide).

Yes, the docs are available on the website. Had to print them out, all 60 pages for the customer.

Other than increasing the range of the phone, does the 3920 have any of the features that the transtalks had? Like unique line ringing"? Also, does the 3920 ring while it is in the charging cradle? The Transtalks did and the 3910's do not. It sounds like they are trying to increase the range but not the features.

Increased over what? Certainly not the Transtalk.
Yes, the 3920 will ring in the cradle and when you lift it up it will go off hook. All the transtalk features are there plus the 3920 is a speaker phone. There are 8 illuminated line buttons (2 intercoms) also that work while sitting in the charger.

Will the 3920 work with any release of the ACS, or does it only work with release 8?
