I have a customer with a Merlin Legend 3.0 with an Audix 3.0 V-mail system. They have a mix of BIS and MLX phones. They have all of the phones set to have HFAI set to on. They have had it this way for years. They had an error on the v-mail system, all channels were busy. I had then reoot the v-mail server and then the phone system. V-mail was now working. Now the HFAI turns off on the phones. She goes around and turns them back on on the phones but the next day they are all off. This is also affecting DND. The phone system is on a UPS. Thanks for any insight!

I don't recall, but the HFAI condition may be one of the states that are not saved in the AMS backup file. If so--AND knowing that sometimes customers are, uh "mistaken" about the way things were before the problem arose--then it makes sense that a system reboot would give these results.
What do you mean by "this is affecting DND"?
It's possible that the AUDIX integration file is trashed, thus causing irregular MWI On/Off mode codes to be sent to the extensions. Certain dial strings can turn off or on things like DND (and possibly the HFAI feature).

The DND that are left on are also being turned off when the HFAI gets turned off. Could this be a bad power supply? They are not having a problem with the MWI. I will double check the status of MWI with the customer.
