We are looking at the NEC DSX line. Seems like a good fit in the smaller customers needs.

That was just 1 example, Ron stated that around 9 vendors were unable to supply components.

The Partner Edition prices out OK if you only use the Digital sets, if you configure with the ETR sets it starts to get expensive.

I certainly dont know what Ron Rogers does but to have 9 suppliers not be able to continue seems a bit suspicious. In this marketplace why would a supplier just stop making parts for that they use in the ACS after all these years? Really, another supplier can not be found?
My guess is that they are hoping that they would sell more new product by forcing the base to do forklift upgrades of their control unit if the customer wanted to stay in new product.
When is a better voice mail system going to be available on the Partner Version? When is better pricing on the small market going to come out- like the Partner R6 SOE where you could install a 4 phone system for around a grand and a half. The Version is much more than that... I need a low cost solution for the 3-9 market.

When I talked to Ron, I am pretty sure he said that by the release of IP Office R7 (3/2011) the voicemail would get phantom mailboxes, multiple Auto Attendants and cascaded outcalling. BUT, Partner version will still be the same money as the IP Office version. And, wit Avaya jacking the price of the R8 up, I guess I would find something else for the 3-9 market. p.s.....I loved the SOE bundles as well.
