Have a site that has an old ACS 308 R1.0 that failed, not sure if there is advantages of going to R8.0 or maybe we should go up a few versions just to R6.0?. Any glitches on newer versions, ones to stay away from? Thanks

If you're buying on the secondary market, you might want to avoid 7's. Outside of that, the difference in price between the 6 and 8 makes it justifiable to get the 8.0 if you want CID to the extensions. We have a customer with EnGenius phones on a conversion from a Tie system. Before, they had a 4x in front of the KSU with 2 phones, now, just 2 extensions and it works perfectly for their function.

Early versions of the R7 had problems, but things were pretty much ironed out by the final release.
The R8 has been fairly well behaved. I think there was a problem with static when using a Partner Voice Messaging with the processor.
The R8 processor, along with the popular Partner ACS hardware, will be available from Avaya until November 8th.
