I have two clients, both with ACS units, one R6, One R8. On both, if they are on a call for a while, their outgoing voice to the caller slowly fades to the point where it requires them to shout into the phone. I have called my own voicemail on my cell from their phones and had the same thing happen.

I have been plugged into the main, 308ec, and 206 mods. Doesn't matter. Outside line doesn't seem to matter. I will be going back at some point to recheck and was looking for some advice. I swapped out the R8 with an R7. No luck.

COuld this be temperature related? Seems much better when I use my but set without the system. Any thoughts appreciated. Mike

Never heard of this with the Partner. You have 3 processors doing the same thing. That should elimanate tih Processors from causing the problem. Look to the carriers. Are they the same carrirs? Are they pots lines or digital lines.

Site A is an R6 standalone. Site B is a 5 slot with 2 308EC, ACSR8 (or R7 at one point) and a Partner Messaging R6 2 port. It's nuts. I am going back there and starting from square 1. I need to be sure all the troubleshooting details are correct before I waste everyone's time here. Thnx.

That would be where I'd check first. Must be something common. Did you try this just on the incoming pair?

I agree also regarding looking at the carrier. Just get ahead of the system and see if it occurs there and that will prove one way or the other.

It would seem that the OP HAS tried a buttset in front of the system and eliminated at least 1 CO line.

I have had the problem with several phones that were old and tired. But all phones at 2 different places? A little further checking is in order. Probably 2-3 phones at each site, the ones with the most use. If it happens to 2-3 users at a site, everybody will jump into the fray and claim problems, esp if they see new phones installed. frown

Thanks Lightninghorse, you are correct! Just say the word static or dropped calls and watch everyone jump on the bus!! I went back out there the other day just as they were closing early for the long weekend and it might still be a line issue. One person told me she loses volume but only on rainy days. Still, I would like to see, touch and feel myself. I will update after my next visit. All the phones are less than a year, had the problem early on in, all are series 2. I am also introducing a series 1 just for kicks.

VAD60 , sorry missed your question. Seems to be outside only. The longer you are on the call the worse it seems to get. They don't really keep an inside call up that long, although i will check that too next time,.
