Hi all. We have a site that was an R4.2 that went to 5.0.22. It's a 406V2 with a PCS of 9 or higher as I recall. I am told that prior to the upgrade, when extensions that had their unconditional forward set to their home engaged received a call inside, transferred, outside, that the caller heard a ring until the far end destination answered. If they didn't answer, it went back to VMPRO for coverage.
Since this upgrade to 5.0.22 when you dial an extension that is forwarded, you hear silence until either the far end answers or until it goes back to VMPRO for coverage.
It sounds like a supervised transfer to me where the IPO is babysitting the call to see if the far end will answer, and then if that time threshold is met, it takes the call back to VMPRO.
Based on that, I can't really see how it ever let the caller hear the ring.
FYI, no twinning or licenses for that. They just use unconditional forward. I wonder if twinning would help with the R5???? or is it just an incorrect setting on the user tab or a system wide parameter. 5 users, all the same issue.
Thanks for your thoughts!
Mike
