A new R7 installation w/messaging lg 16 boxes, has a transfer issue only on certain extensions. After AA, the caller enters ext 11, reply is 'your party is not available' caller presses *8 and enters same extension [11#] and the transfer goes through successfully.
System is R7 + 308 on a 2 slot carrier. Selector codes used are 4-9 trouble occurs on extension ports of both R7 and 308 ext 11,12,15,22,23,26 have this trouble
Anyone hear this before?
Any help is very much appreciated

If you press "Feature 14" the extension 11 it will transfer the call to 11's mailbox. If you press the transfer key on a system phone then the extension 11, it should transfer. Which way is the transfer being done?

Ths problem is experienced by outside party calling in. After the AA greeting, the caller presses 11, the response is 'your party is not available' please press *8 to select another extension. The caller can then press *8, select 11 and the call will then successfully transfer and ring ext 11.

Outside calls fail to transfer to the extension [11] that the caller selects. The system responds 'your party is not available' then 'please press *8 to select another extension, or dial 0 for operator'
This is effectively sending all calls through the receptionist.
My test results show that after AA, *8, 11#, the call will successfully transfer to ext 11
Any idea what may prevent the call from transferring to ext 11 at the first attempt, but will transfer after *8 then 11, ....?
The system is using selector codes but only 4 and higher.
This is puzzling-
Thank you for help!

Sounds to me that you don't have Selector Code 1 and 2 set to Direct Extension Transfer. So when you press the first 1 in 11, it transfers to whatever you have it set to, but *8 put it into a mode where it listens for the 2 digit extension number.

I would start by double checking my selector code assignments and my #310. Also, did you default both the VM and R.7 ACS before you installed it?

The trouble was selector code 1 & 2 needed to be reset to 'direct extension transfer' which freed up digits 1 & 2 from previous assignment to selector code use.
Thank you for help!!!!
