Sorry for the lack of introduction to this forum. I've searched and read so much helpful info already. Now I'm down to a few specific issues and the boss-man will be happy.

First off, I am not a telephone system expert. But I am technically inclined and catch on quick. The troubles started for us with an aquired satellite office. One day a few extensions were not working and by the end of the day the entire office had no incoming or outgoing phones. A few select extensions were able to dial other extensions within the office - but to keep the technicalities at a minimum - the phone system was dead.

As luck would have it, we had a few misc extra modules from another office. I found one of the modules to not be lit up so I replaced it with a spare. VOILA! The phones rang and could dial out... but everything was jumbled as far as our personal settings were concerned.

Since I'm not sure what info you guys require I took some pictures of the setup and hopefully that helps. I am on-site today so I can also get more info.

Here is how it is setup now in 'working' condition:

Here is the module I removed. The top was very, very hot and discolored.

The first thing I'd like to verify is what lines should be assigned to Hunt Group 7 for voice mail? From various searches I read it should be the highest numbered extensions. So right now I have extensions 48, 49, 78, 79 assigned and voicemail is accessible from each phone.

Another issue is that the automated attendent does not pick up on incoming calls. We would prefer it to pick up immediately on the main line without ringing the phone (x10) until the message is finished. Right now incoming calls just ring forever.

After incoming calls are transferred to a specific extension it rings and then goes to the VM box properly. Although it rings a bunch of times and I'd like to know how to set that to ~3 rings.

I appreciate the help I've already found here and look forward to what you guys recommend. Thanks!

With the Partner Voice Messaging, only extensions 78 & 79 should be in Hunt Group #7. Remove any other extensions currently assigned to that group and then try some test calls.

By the way... this office is in Washington, PA and we're willing to pay if the price is right.

If there is someone on site that can follow instruction you can actually program while talking on station 10 or 11, there is a charge to walk them through program changes, fill free to call if you need help, my number is in my profile.

Any other suggestions? I'd at least like to try somethings on my own before making a toll call...
