We Have a customer with a Merlin messenger v4.
Over the week-end something happened and now no one can access the v-mail system. Dialing in gives a
"buzy" tone. The system has been re-booted and the card removed and reseated, Giving the same result.
The card has a single red light displayed after boot up, I don't remember if this unit displays anything else if it's happy ... been about 4 years since we've had to do anything with it. any trouble shooting tips would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jeb

If all voicemail ports are in the correct group, and all programming is correct....the hard drive could be corrupt/bad.

Yeah, sounds like the HD.
Just for kicks try dialing your V-Mail ports and see what you get.

Red light is not good. Probably hard drive.
Good luck.

Thanks Guy's that was my quick take on it. But thought I should ask the experts as we don't work on these systems all the time and haven't see all the glitches. Now Just have to give the bad news to the customer and get a replacement unit in.
