I know this sounds like a broken record but I have a Partner Plus 5 slot system. From left to right I have 2 206 R4.1 modules model 103e16, in the middle I have a Processor Module R4.1 part 539b16, to the right is another module card 206E R3.1 model 103e9 and the module on the right is a control Unit 400E R3.1 model 103d7. I am getting static on certain extensions on 2 of the 3 modules and random dead extensions. I need a quick fix so I was thinking about replacing each module for the time being. Is this smart or could it be the processor?
As for my future system I have 8 lines in the system and require 24 extensions with the possibility of expansion. I would like to keep costs to a minimum so I would like to reuse the same phones if possible. This is for a dermatology office so I do not require a lot of extra feautures. Just the basics, voice mail for 6 extensions, music on hold, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help.

You could use an acs 5x9 ,2- 3x8 modules that would give you 11 lines x 25 extensions and 2 empty slots. You could use a flash mail in acs or if you need more featues a partner mail in slot 4.
the static on partner extensions is a very old story
If you replace the existing modules there is no room for voicemail and you would need to go to a partner II and second cabinet,as well as a giant step backward.
music works on any of the above.

replace the 206 and then wait for the new one to go bad (since all you can get are used ones ) or just mark that port as bad and go to a different working port . problem is the ext numbers are fixed so is say 15 is bad and you move him to 23 then thats his new number
I had to do that in a real estate company where the guy just had all his cards and letterhead printed wit a ext number and we gave him a new one ...

As Skip already said, any 206 card you purchase is going to be a refurb. Avaya stopped manufacturing the 206 exp cards, Oh, what........10 or 12 years ago? IMO, you would be better off to put the money you would spend on the ole refurbed 206's towards upgrading the controlling part of your system.

So what you mean is that instead of replacing a 206, you should buy a processor module that also has line and extension ports, unlike the Partner Plus II?
