Have a well running R.0 ACS 308 processor and a 308 expansion card with just 1 dial tone in a clothing store and they are looking to open another store close by and add some cordless phones.

Thought this might be an opportunity to put in my first Avaya IP Office 500 V.2 but don't know how to card it.

The store currently has 4 dial tones and 7 18D phones with a "Large" slide in voicemail card in the processor. They want to add two cordless phones, which would have to be 3920s, but they already ordered two of the new Nortel 7406e phones with a base hoping they could use them.

I was guessing that they could but that the Nortel card might be prohibitive in cost compared to the cost of two 3920s added to the partner ports.

I suggested using 3 Voip phones at the new small satellite store and they wouldn't have to put in a whole system there, don't have experience at how well the Avaya Voip phones work.

Could you suggest what cards I need including the software card, and voicemail needs are very minimal?

Um, no. While I commend you for being willing to jump into systems you are not certified on, this is NOT something you want to do without going to the classes and getting some experience on it first.

How far away another store? TTT is right , you are not ready for IP Office. Think about Engenius phones.

Panansonic also makes a great system for this.

Turns out that the Partner IP office won't do IP phones so that idea washed up.

I was hoping to keep his old phones and add IP phones but just not going to work. I mainly do Toshiba and Samsung but get a batch of calls for Partners, not a lot of Partner techs around, they seem to have dried up and blown away.

There's a world of difference between IP Office Partner Edition and what is typically just called IP Office. But for either one, you need to become certified, because it's a long way from a Partner Plus, II, or ACS.
