Hi people

Anyone out there know how this would work?

2 x IPO 412 systems (both v3.0).
Currently they have an SCN link via their VCM cards and they dial each other's extensions quite happily.
I have to install a 2nd PRI card at site 1 and get site 2 to access those PRI trunks when they dial any international number. Is this simply ARS routing and if so does site 1 have to have a new incoming call route added?

Please help me!

Best Regards

Mike

Been so long on those old releases...Is it LCR or ARS? in3.0?

You could just use a short code.
[9]011N;
9011N (assuming the other system uses a "9" to dial out.
Dial
10(whatever line group goes to the 2nd system).

So, what really happens, is a user will dial 9-011.....this is the [9]011 part. That will grab the IP trunk you tell it (in the line group) and dial 9011... on the other system (as long as that system uses a "9" to dial out)

I would have to brush up on my LCR programming in order to advise that way.

Thanks Mongo
It's actually LCR on this version.
What is already in the table is:

Code: 1N
Feature: Dial
Tel No: N
Line Gp ID 103 (this 103 doesn't appear in any trunk groups although it is part of the gateway IP address)

So would I add something in short codes as well as entering another LCR route?. This is all slightly confusing

Another query:
On site 2, local and national calls are still to stay routing through their own PRI, but international calls will route over the SCN (and then somehow route through the new PRI on site 1)

How do you successfully route out of site 2 using the line group of the SCN. Where does the line group of the new PRI come in to play?

Many thanks for your reply BTW

What is the line group of the IP trunks in site 2? 103?

What is the current PRI line group.....and what are you setting up for the new PRI line group?

Site 2 H323 line group is 103
IP address of site2 is 172.24.107.129

Site 1 H323 line group is 107
IP address of site 1 is 172.24.103.129

Site 2 has LCR of 1N
N
Dial
103
Site 1 has no LCR routes
Site 1 and 2 current line groups PRI group = 0
Not sure what to call new PRI group at the moment.

Amazingly simple in the end!
All I did was enter a new short code on site 2 for international calls (00) and sent it to the new PRI line group number of the site 1 switch.
It seems that the call routing works itself out by automatically using the SCN group number)

Thanks for your help

Mike
