Re: CP10 to CP20 Migration

No, but it's pretty straight forward.
Back up the CP10 database then import it on the CP20 software.
Adjust the inmail ports to reflect the new numbering plan/dept group standard.
Make sure you have the CP20 already updated, initialized and the license uploaded.
Upload the database.
Use the util to copy all the VM stuff from the CP10 to the CP20.SDcard. You will need to have the card reader for this on your pc. This can take a while depending on how much is there.
Reinsert SDcard, start the system. You MIGHT have to reboot once but it should be fine.

Re: OS7200s Watchdog Errors

Just adding to this conversation for future issues. We had a site that was showing in the alarm logs as 'Watchdog Reset' we replaced the whole thing and also re-programmed and it still did it. I was then thinking that the 230v plug in the wall is the only thing left. Then I discovered that 2 of the analogue extn's were showing in a error state in Cmd 6.2.1 The customer did not know what these were so I disconnected them and the issue went away.

Re: SPNET "blocking"?

I believe it's a "No User Response" error from the pbx. Had to clear an issue this am on this specific customer. The one 7200 causing the issue was unreachable via the maintenance software (TCP 5090), but reachable via an IP set at my location. Rebooted the system via 811 and everything came back just fine. It's difficult to get Wireshark in place... I have to act quickly to reboot which ever pbx is causing the issue and get them back online.

I am not at all familiar with SPNET or how it communicates, but I can't see it causing an abundance of entries in a NAT table just because another extension/system is unreachable. To do so would mean the PBX send each individual request (for the same call) from different port numbers.
It's probably worth running Wireshark while the issue occurs to see if a smoking gun appears...
Doe the issues they experience have to do with degraded audio? Or do calls simply fail to complete (and if so what message do they see)?

SPNET "blocking"?
CyberLaw
I have a 12 node Samsung SPNET with 6 - 7100, 2 - 7030 and two 7200s (MCP) (Customer refuses to upgrade to cloud) Everything works fine till one of the nodes loses internet... then other systems start having issues calling the other nodes that ARE up... My theory is the NAT tables in the routers/firewalls are getting full from the repeated attempts at making intercom calls to other nodes. If that is the case... how can this be remedied? TCP or UDP timers in the firewall? If the timer is reduced, wouldn't it cause issues with calls when everything is fine?

Yealink W90DM - Base Stations Show "Active" but Not "Active Sync" and Marked as
bilisim
Hi,
I'm experiencing an issue with my Yealink W90DM and W90B base stations. The base stations are using DECT Sync (not LAN Sync), and all firmware is up to date. The sync level is set to "Automatic." However, the base stations are shown as "Active" but not "Active Sync," and they are marked as "Abnormal Status" in the W90DM web interface.
I've checked the following:
All devices are powered on and connected to the same network. Firmware versions are the latest available. Sync levels are set to automatic, but the issue persists. No specific error codes are visible in the logs yet, but I can provide system logs if needed. Could this be related to DECT signal interference, sync master configuration, or something else? Any suggestions for troubleshooting or resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

You can use handset programming anb step through CMD 10 (or 14) but you will have to write them down yourself. Oh and don't forget CMD 11 for any virtuals.

Re: Transferring Entire Contents

Things turned out to be much better than expected. Not perfect, but so much better. I know that IT professionals won't approve, but it turns out that I am using MS Edge as a browser and also "One Drive" cloud storage. The only thing, I mean the ONLY thing that I had to do was give the laptop my e-mail address, which also is an MS product: Office 365. Once I signed into my account, I began seeing almost instant population of existing programs and apps. A lot of desktop icons didn't show up, but those were minor. Still, between these MS products working in harmony, there wasn't much to do in transferring to the new laptop except to sit back and watch. Even more amazingly, I came back later to resume some customizing and noticed the missing icons (and their associated programs) were now right there and working. One program is a very old DOS-based utility and it fired right up on the first try.
In my travels, I don't think I've ever heard an IT person say anything nice about Microsoft. I will say from an end-user's perspective, with very little computer experience, I'll swear by it. I just thought I'd let everybody know in case they are interested. Comments or advice is still welcome and appreciated. When I wrote my reply to your original post this post was not there and only appeared today when I checked back now. I was not aware of that MS capability which is much like moving everything from an old iPhone to a new one but on steroids. I think AI was at work finding and installing new drivers, etc. Thanks for sharing and glad it worked out for you Ed! -Hal

Is it possible they don't have a mailbox password set? I believe IPO blocks external access unless that password exists.

Fyi. There are commercially available transfer programs in the $30 range that transfer all or almost all content and programs from one laptop to another. Not going to mention names here but have found them very helpful.

Re: Reviving an Ernest D3 payphone, Telelink, LCD

As someone who has been down this road recently, I wish you the best of luck. Parts are scarce, software is even rarer, and getting it to run on anything modern is an exercise in frustration.
I don't mean this to dissuade you, in fact I hope it has the opposite effect. Once you start down this path, you find yourself compelled to see it through.
Try the internet archive for software. I managed to find Expressnet for programming protel pay phones there. For software emulation, you might get dosbox to work, but if you don't, try 86box. Rather than emulating a dos environment, it emulates the hardware, and you'll have to find and install dos and any other software you want, just like the bad old days. For me, I could get dosbox to work, but it had a lot of issues. I went to 86box, and after some teething pains, it works really well. For protel phones, you need an external serial modem and some way to dial the phone from the modem. An old electronic key system with analog station ports works for this. I used my avaya partner ACS. I can reliably program protel pay phones now with almost 100% success.
I don't remember if the ernest phones are similar to western electric ones or not. If its a western style phone with the coin slot on the left, ditch the controller and use a protel board. Heck, even if its a right hand coin slot, protel makes boards for those too. They have a button on them to program them locally without a PC.
PM me if you want to get into deeper detail. I've brought back a handful of old payphones, and actually just put one in service at my second job. It doesn't get a lot of usage, but it does generate a lot of conversation. It does work and take coins as it should. For dial tone I'm using an ATA and a voip provider. The service is super cheap so even if it doesn't get much use, I don't care. It's a lot of fun and I enjoy calling it when a customer walks by to see their reaction.
I'd post a picture, but I can never remember how the heck to do it.

Fairly certain you need PCPro to get into a 9300. I don't remember a web interface for the 9300. I mean if you are just replacing the 9300 there is always the old fashioned way of walking around getting the extension numbers.

NEC sv9300 web interface
SamF
06/20/25 03:56 AM
Hi we are looking to pull the ext information data out of a nec sv9300, the company that managed it prior is no longer available.
I was hoping to "just" log in via the web interface but I am not finding one - a scan on the network shows a bunch of NEC IP's (I have gotten a voicemail server web page) I logged into a third party SIP device and pulled the server IP did a scan against it and the only port that comes back is 5070 ( SIP).
Any ideas on how i can get to the "GUI" and if the password is not default what options do I have?
Thanks
